COMMITTED TO THE HEALTH AND SAFTEY OF ITS EMPLOYEES IN ALL ITS OPERATIONS, ASYAD GROUP RECORDS 10 MILLION SAFE MANHOURS
ASYAD Group does not just talk the talk. Having achieved 10 million safe man-hours from January to September 2020, the logistics group walks the walk, too. This significant milestone reflects the Group-wide implementation of occupational health and safety (OS&H) values. ASYAD Group reinforces its safety-first culture through its commitment to OH&S standards set by international organizations such as the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
Although 80% of ASYAD Group activities is field work, the Group managed to maintain high OS&H standards and zero fatality rate- ensuring the safety of its employees, business continuity and unaffected operational performance across its Operating Companies. This feat has been facilitated by ASYAD’s employee’s abidance by the OH&S policy and procedures extending throughout the Group, despite COVID 19 disturbance.
ASYAD Group’s safety Key Performance Indicator, set at 0.4 per million injury-free man hours, testifies to the Group’s keenness to adopt international best practices. Moreover, ASYAD Group has successfully addressed 1875 near miss reports; not only thanks to its hazard resolution capabilities and stringent preventive measures in place, but also due to the site personnel’s increasing awareness and periodic assessment of OH&S compliance.
As a global logistics services provider, these measures promote operational excellence as ASYAD Group takes it upon itself to ensure the safety of its employees and all while delivering to its customers efficient, world-class services and operations. Through close monitoring of OHS performance indicators, regular on-site visits, and awareness campaigns, ASYAD Group leads by example in Oman’s logistics sector.
Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality (HSSEQ), integrated into ASYAD Group’s ethos, are critical to its business and operations. To this effect, ASYAD Group endeavors to live up to the highest standards for each of these elements with its people (employees and contractors), stakeholders and surrounding communities at all times. ASYAD Group, working hand-in-hand with authorities and encouraging its partners and customers to embed HSSEQ priorities in their day-to-day business, have earned themselves HSE stewardship in Oman’s logistics scene.
