With 21 years of experience in leading positions in the economic and investment fields, Sheikh Nasser Al Harthy is currently the Vice President of Operations at Oman Investment Authority in charge of financial affairs and international investment operations. He also oversees the Directorate General of Information Management. He led many investments and economic diversification programs through his membership in various Boards locally and internationally. Al Harthy holds a degree in Finance from UAE University and an MBA from Victoria University, Australia.

Ahmed Al-Musalmi, CEO of Sohar International Bank, has been a catalyst in the bank’s transformation and a proven leader with extensive experience in the banking sector. Al Musalmi is the Deputy Chairman of the Oman Bankers Association and a member of the College of Banking and Financial studies’ board. He also sits on the boards of several prominent institutions, including Oman Aviation Group, Special Economic Zone of Duqm (SEZAD) and Oman Takaful (Insurance) Co. Al-Musalmi graduated from Harvard Business School with a bachelor’s degree and holds an MBA from the University of Bedfordshire. He also holds an International Diploma in Financial Services as well as being a Market Analyst and Certified Portfolio and Wealth Manager.

With 15 years of local and international experience in managing logistics companies and ports, Sami Al Sinani is serving as an Investment Manager at Oman Investment Authority, leading the Transport & Logistics private equity investment. He is also a board member of international ports such as Kumport in Turkey and PSA in India. Al Sinani holds a degree in Commerce and Economics from Sultan Qaboos University and an MBA from Franklin University, USA.

Yousuf joined BP Oman as President in 2015 in charge of the Khazzan and Ghazeer gas developments and Block 77 investment with ENI of Italy. His previous industrial career spans over Petroleum Development Oman & Brunei Shell Petroleum and then 10 years as CEO of Oman gas Company responsible for the planning, development, operation and growth of gas transportation system.
Yousuf graduated in mechanical engineering from University of Tulsa, USA and obtained his MSc in Industrial Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University. He is currently a member of the BP Exploration Epsilon Ltd Board (a company incorporated in the United Kingdom and looks after investments of the Foinaven field in North Sea and Khazzan/Ghazeer in Oman), Board member of Society of Petroleum Engineering for the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia and member of the Industrial Advisory Board of the College of Engineering at Sultan Qaboos University.
Yousuf has previously served on the Boards of Takamul Investment Company and Oman Oil Exploration and Production. He was also a member of the Gas Planning Committee at the Ministry of Oil & Gas and member of MOG’s Gas Technical Committee which oversaw PDO’s gas development. Yousuf was a member of the Joint Management Committees of BP’s Khazzan and OQ’s Abu Tubul gas developments.

Mehdi Al Lawati is a member of the Board of Directors of Asyad Group and a Partner at DLA Piper – Dubai, where he practices corporate and capital market law. With over 16 years of experience in Oman and GCC markets, Mehdi has worked with major local and international law firms and took part in large investment transactions, including restructuring and integrations, mergers and acquisitions, and leasing finance. With in-depth knowledge of Oman’s legal and regulatory framework and valuable corporate insights, Mehdi represented and enabled, both domestically and globally, various types of enterprises, from start-ups to joint venture and sovereign-owned entities. Mehdi holds an LLB from the University of Philadelphia, Jordan.

Rehab Al Lawati is a member of the Board of Directors of Asyad Group and the Deputy General Manager of PDO Joint Venture in Oman Shell. A veteran with nearly 20 years of experience serving on several boards and navigating the world of investment and finance, Rehab has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and skills in the private equity market and financial advisory complemented by a strong network of partnerships with investors and key local, regional and international players. Prior to joining Asyad’s Board, she kicked off her career at Oman Investment Authority as a lead of private equity funds and worked on several projects, including the successful creation of Rakiza, Oman’s first infrastructure fund, where she held the position of Chief Operating Officer. She holds a BSc in finance from Sultan Qaboos University and an MSc in managerial finance from Nyenrode Business School in the Netherlands.
