Port of Khasab
About Port of Khasab
Port of Khasab is positioned at the northern end of Oman, in the Musandam Governate facing the Strait of Hormuz. This location affords the port a set of unique advantages including:
- Immediate access to the upper gulf sea route, which is navigated by hundreds of ships a day
- Close proximity to the coast of Southern Asia and the vibrant and productive markets of Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and India
- A diversified and highly competitive high volume commercial port and shipping environment.
Today, Port of Khasab serves as an essential resource for cruise vessels, ferry operations, and Iranian freight and cargo.
The port’s protected 10-meter deep harbor basin features three berths of 60m, 90m and 300m, as well as 22 hectares of open yards and 4,000 sqm of covered sheds. The port also benefits from a cruise terminal and essential administration buildings.
Asyad took over the management of Port Khasab in April 2019.
