Asyad Group, Oman’s global integrated logistics provider, and Omantel, the leading provider of integrated telecommunication services in Oman, partnered to launch an innovative accelerator program aimed at empowering local tech startups in the logistics industry. The signing ceremony took place on April 3, marking a significant milestone in Oman's tech and logistics industries.
The Asyad-Omantel Accelerator Program is designed to provide comprehensive support to Omani tech startups, offering mentorship, training, networking opportunities, and fundraising assistance. The six-month program targets promising startups with technologies that contribute to the advancement of Oman’s logistics sector with a focus on supply chain optimization, cold chain enhancement, and sustainable logistics.
Highlighting the shared commitment to nurturing homegrown talent, Ahmed AL Balushi Chief Executive Asset Management at Asyad Group, said: “Our collaboration with Omantel to implement this innovative program aligns with Asyad’s strategy to enable the private sector, especially SMEs, to effectively participate in the Sultanate’s logistics journey. Together, we aim to provide tech startups with the right tools and platform to grow in logistics and beyond, in line with Oman Vision 2040.”

Based in the Omantel Innovation Labs, participants in the Asyad-Omantel Accelerator Program will benefit from a range of advantages, including access to mentorship from industry experts, specialized training sessions, potential investment opportunities, and a dedicated learning platform. Additionally, startups will have the opportunity to collaborate and exchange ideas within the vibrant community of the Omantel Innovation Labs and explore Asyad’s integrated logistics ecosystem.
