Asyad Express, part of Asyad Group, has entered a strategic partnership with Evri, the UK's largest e-commerce delivery company. The partnership aims to explore strategic collaboration in terms of setting up a regional courier express parcel (CEP) network serving the Middle East through Evri / Asyad Express and partner networks.
The partnership seeks to develop a unique value proposition serving Oman and select middle east countries from the UK, Europe and U.S. markets, using Asyad Group network capability and infrastructure.
Commenting on the importance of this strategic partnership for Oman, Nasser Al Sharji, CEO of Oman Post & Asyad Express said “this important partnership is in line with our extensive efforts to position Oman as a global logistics hub by tapping into a pool of more than 2 billion potential e-commerce customers and providing global access to the GCC through our extensive sea, road and air networks.“
“This agreement provides local and regional traders access to key European and American markets through Evri's expansive network. It also connects Evri's clients with the Asian and Middle East markets through leveraging Asyad's world-class logistics services and its network, covering more than 220 destinations globally,” he added.

Asyad Group is continuing the strategic expansion of its e-commerce capabilities in the key markets of UK, China and U.S. The key aim is to attract more international brands to take advantage of Oman as a potential e-commerce hub for expanding their service offering throughout the region.
In a step that reflects the accelerated construction of the Oman–UAE Railway Network, Hafeet Rail -the developer and operator of the project- received the first shipment of railway tracks through the General Cargo Terminal at SOHAR Port and Freezone, which is operated by C. Steinweg Oman LLC. This milestone represents a significant moment in the execution of the project, which links the Sultanate of Oman with the United Arab Emirates and paves the way for the next phase of on-ground construction.
