We have remained vigilant of our carbon footprints and have deployed several strategic initiatives in line with Oman’s sustainable development goals.”

SOHAR Port and Freezone has already developed sustainability frameworks in its operation by multiple programs such promoting green shipping, Environmental ship index incentives and energy optimization enhancement projects. The leading Port and Freezone in the region are also dedicated in energy conservation having allocated 13% of its freezone land for solar power generation that targets the reduction of 300,000 tons of CO₂ emissions per year.
