One of Asyad Drydock’s strong points for the tanker industry is the treatment of slop* and sludge* inside the yard; it has 2 plants with 5,000 m2 capacity each.

In addition to its 10,000 cubic meter storage capacity, the plant is equipped to discharge treated wastewater at the rate of 30 cubic meters per hour, making it capable of handling the waste streams of up to ULCC size.

* Slop: wastewater of cargo tanks/crude oil tanker

* Sludge: remaining oil residues in cargo tanks




Plant Services

The yard offers following plant services: Incinerator: Incinerate all received and generated garbage, plastic, wood, expired medicine, PVC/PE bottles and cans, etc., from ship and workshop.

Chemical Wastewater Treatment Plant: Treated chemical waste water that is generated from mechanical washing workshop.

STP (Sewage Treatment Plant): For treating sewage water from vessel and shipyard.

RO (Reverse Osmosis) Plant: For treating sea water to produce fresh water.

HWTSF (Hazardous Waste Treatment and Storage Facility): For storing hazardous waste for final disposal.

Acetylene: Produce acetylene gas for ‘hot work’ activity at the yard.

Gas Tank: Supply yard activity of O2, CO2, & LPG gases

Dry Dock Services

SHIP REPAIR

The main backbone of any ship repair yard’s annual turnover is the general repair market. Known in the trade as ‘haircut and shave’, this market segment covers all the regular repairs, maintenance and refurbishments, normally during Class Survey drydocking.
