ASYAD - 0035 - Technology Lead
To lead, control and manage the implementation of multiple projects and programmes relating to technology in order to achieve the overall objectives of SOLS 2040 and the specific objectives defined within the strategic plan.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Planning
- Working with the Program Director – Logistics Technology to build and elaborate the SOLS 2040 strategy Technology programmes into specific projects, developing the timeline, budgets, sourcing strategies and dependencies.
- Develop and implement a KPI monitoring method for projects that will consolidate into the overall reporting for programmes.
Control and monitor programmes
- Monitor and review allocated programmes progress, highlighting key issues and addressing them. As and when required escalating issues for resolution where the programme manager cannot tackle at his level.
- Control and execute the projects within the programmes
- Collaborating and coordinating with other programme managers in National Logistics Strategy team to ensure that programmes and projects are co-ordinated and supporting each other to avoid clashes, duplication, re-work and peaking resource loads.
- Monitoring risks associated with the projects within programmes being managed. Plan and execute mitigation strategies.
HSQE Responsibilities and Information Security Responsibilities
- Exercise a personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by their acts or omissions, and promote the same within their area of responsibility
- Ensure ways to conserve energy, water and resources and minimize the generation of waste; promote a good QHSE and Information Security culture in the Trade Facilitation and with Company peers.
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Qualification
- B.SC/BA – Engineering, IT and computer Sciences. international business
- MBA – Engineering/ IT and computer
Experience
- Minimum experience 7 years.
- Demonstrable experience of implementing multiplatform computer, or data management systems. Ideally in a transport environment.
- Experience or familiarity with cargo handling systems and technologies including
- Track and Trace
- VMS/RFID/GPS
- Refrigeration
- Gas and ripening inhibition technologies
- Physical cargo handling technology in multiple sectors including aviation or marine.

Experience of food or other specialist cargo product handling in either FMCG, Food distribution is an advantage.
- Demonstrable experience of technology integration projects, ideally operational technology (not just business systems) and projects having multiple organisation participation.
- Must be able to develop, establish and maintain performance measures with respect to the success of any campaign or market initiative.
- Must be able to work across multiple cultures.
- Experience of and keen interest in new and developing transport technologies essential.

Experience of establishing government/private sector initiatives to ensure the adoption of new technologies highly desirable.

Experience of appropriate quality management programs and statutory HSQE requirements and processes.

Demonstrable experience in successfully implementing new technologies with significant organisation change in an international environment.
- Demonstrable experience of implementing significant change or introducing new processes.
